David Weatherhead

President & CEO

David Weatherhead is Founder and President of APG Media Group.  APG Media is a dedicated division focused on sales and rentals of technology exclusively designed for Virtual Production.

With over 20 years experience in the audio visual industry, and over a decade specializing in the sale and rental of large videowall technology, David has the technical expertise and industry knowledge to support the growth of APG’s Virtual Production division.

APG has been operating for over 25 years, and was previously a speciality videowall rentals and sales division of leading Canadian AV Integrator Advanced Presentation Products.  David led both Advanced and APG as President, and after the sale of Advanced’s Integration business in Sept 2019 to US based leading integrator Diversified, APG has David’s dedicated focus.

APG has been a leading supplier of speciality videowall technologies for over a decade, so the evolution of the business to support a Virtual Production division is natural.  The investments made in the Company from technology to training position APG to remain a leader in this field.

David has been recognized as Commercial Integrators Top 40 under 40, and is widely known in the AV industry as an expert on LED display technology.  David has worked in the audio visual business in the UK, Canada and the USA.

Tim Hatch

Vice President of Virtual Production Solution Sales

Tim’s career in the broadcasting, production and audio visual environments spans over 20 years. His creative, technical and sales background made for a natural progression to an Executive role with APG Media’s Virtual Production division.

Tim received a BA Honours in Illustration and Animation, Communication Media from Manchester Metropolitan University.  After University, Tim graduated from the Film school of Northern Ireland.  Pursuing his passion for film and television Tim graduated from the BBC’s training department, BBC Wood Norton Training and Development College.

Tim worked at BBC Northern Ireland as Broadcast and Production camera operator.  After moving from the UK to Canada, Tim has worked on a variety of productions in technical roles.  Since joining APG Media seven years ago he has held a variety of sales roles, and is currently focused on growing the APG Media Broadcast and Virtual Production division.

Tim has provided videowall technologies to the following film productions:
Designated Survivor Pilot, Designated Survivor CBS Production seasons 1 & 2, The Hand Maidens Tale, Condor, In The Dark, Private Eyes, Awake, Pacific Rim

In broadcast studios he has worked on:

Technical Sales Engineer – ICVFX

Brody Ramsey is a seasoned Technical Sales Engineer at APG Media, specializing in In-Camera Visual Effects (ICVFX) and virtual production system design. With extensive experience working inside LED volumes, Brody brings a rare blend of hands-on technical knowledge and creative insight to his role—supporting studios, production companies, and integrators across North America.

Throughout his career, Brody has contributed to hundreds of virtual production shoots, ranging from commercials and live broadcasts to music videos and major feature films. His work includes high-profile projects such as marketing content for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon and a promotional campaign with the Kardashians, among many others.

Brody’s expertise spans the full production pipeline, including:

  • Real-time environment creation using Unreal Engine and plate systems

  • Live camera tracking integration and motion capture pipelines

  • Advanced troubleshooting and technical support in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

  • LED stage consulting for both new studio builds and system upgrades

  • Network and infrastructure planning for next-generation virtual production workflows

At APG Media, Brody plays a key role in technical consultation, system architecture, and solution sales—helping clients navigate and implement cutting-edge virtual production technologies. His ability to bridge the gap between creative and engineering teams ensures every project is both technically sound and artistically powerful.

Jason Baugh

USA Operations Manager

Jason started in the industry in 1998 and currently has 22 years of experience.  He has completed 100s of corporate and trade shows meetings, live events and broadcast installations.  From concerts to large general sessions to broadcast studios, Jason has experienced them all. Jason is in charge of APG’s USA Operations and ensures our installations from LA to Orlando to New York are executed flawlessly.

Jason’s flagship broadcast experience includes CNN’S Washington DC Jake Tapper/Wolf Blitzer Studios and the WJAX Studio in Jacksonville, FL. These installations featured very tight pixel pitches at 1.2mm, 1.5mm, and 1.6mm LED.

His experience with production and live events includes the IIFA – The International Indian Film Academy Awards and The Jimmy Fallon Show.  Some of the larger Live performances and concerts he has contributed to include Foreigner, Journey, Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Buffet, Styx, and 3 Doors Down.

Jason’s certifications include Barco FSN Switcher Operator, Projectionist, Novastar LED processing, Unilumen LED, HyperPixel LED, Christie Spyder, and Planar Clarity Matrix Video Walls.  He also has professional training in NEC Video Walls, tvOne Corio Master, Screen Pro 2, and Leyard LED products.
