LED Volume Rentals for Film & TV
APG Media provides temporary LED volumes and on-camera LED wall rentals for film and television productions across the United States and Canada. We design and install systems around your shoot, from smaller walls for vehicle scenes to larger immersive virtual production environments.
Bring LED technology into your chosen production space with a rental package shaped around your camera requirements, content workflow and schedule.
An LED system built around your shoot
Every production uses LED differently. You may need background playback for a vehicle scene, several walls around a practical set, or a tracked camera workflow for in-camera visual effects. APG Media helps define the equipment and technical scope for the shots you want to capture.
Rental applications include:
- Vehicle interiors and driving scenes using poor man’s process (PMP)
- Temporary virtual production environments
- On-camera LED backgrounds and scenic displays
- Multi-wall configurations around practical sets
- ICVFX workflows using real-time content and camera tracking
Design, installation and production support
Our rental services can include consultation, system design, equipment supply, installation, technical support and removal after the production. Processing, tracking and computing requirements are defined around the agreed workflow.
On-camera LED requires careful planning. Camera and lens choices, exposure, shooting distance, frame rate, content and synchronization can all affect the result. Early conversations with your production, camera and VFX teams help us specify a suitable system and plan testing.

Tell us what your production needs
For a useful rental proposal, share:
- Production location and studio or stage details
- Installation, rehearsal, shoot and removal dates
- Approximate LED dimensions and configuration
- Camera, lens and intended frame-rate requirements
- Whether you plan background playback or tracked real-time content
- Requirements for processing, tracking, computing and technical crew
If the technical brief is still developing, start with your creative objective and available space. We can help scope the system before the equipment list is finalized.
Frequently asked questions
Can APG Media install a temporary LED volume in our studio?
Yes. We provide temporary systems for production spaces, subject to the site requirements and agreed equipment scope. Access, mounting, power and the installation schedule need to be assessed during planning.
Can we rent LED walls specifically for car scenes?
Yes. APG Media supports PMP applications using LED walls. The configuration is designed around the vehicle, camera angles, background content and lighting approach.
Does every LED rental need camera tracking?
No. Background playback and tracked ICVFX are different workflows. Tracking requirements depend on how the camera and content need to interact.
How much does an LED volume rental cost?
Rental pricing depends on system size, specifications, duration, location, installation and crew requirements. Send your brief and dates for a project-specific quotation.
