This cutting-edge facility, supplied, designed, and built by APG Media, features innovative technology to train students on the latest virtual production workflows and serve as a real-world working studio for various productions. It is the largest LED volume stage in a higher education facility in North America.
The centerpiece of Full Sail University's Virtual Production Studio is a stunning 100-tile LED ceiling and a massive 400-tile curved LED ground video wall. The LED videowalls utilize HyperPixel 2.6mm LED technology, delivering exceptional visual clarity and immersive experiences for both students and production professionals alike.
To power this state-of-the-art videowall technology, APG Media has integrated Brompton SX40 and XD video processors, ensuring seamless performance and precise image rendering. Content creation and playback are facilitated through Unreal Engine, providing students with hands-on experience with industry-standard software.
In addition to advanced videowall technology, the film camera systems within the studio are meticulously calibrated to interact seamlessly with the LED surfaces, enhancing realism and enabling students to master virtual production techniques with unparalleled precision.
