APG Media Builds LED Volume for Amazon's Jack Reacher TV Series
TORONTO, CANADA – March 2nd 2022 – APG Media, a leading provider of audiovisual solutions, is proud to announce its pivotal role in supplying, designing, and building the virtual production environment for Amazon's highly anticipated Jack Reacher TV series, filmed in Toronto, Canada. APG's cutting-edge technology facilitated the immersive filming experience, particularly in scenes utilizing the innovative Poor Man Process (PMP) for car sequences.
For the Jack Reacher production, APG provided five LED videowalls, strategically integrated into the virtual production environment to create various scenes, environments, and applications. These LED videowalls played a crucial role in enhancing the production's visual fidelity and realism.
APG collaborated closely with the VFX Company, to provide all the content for the LED walls. Leveraging Unreal Engine, APG delivered dynamic content tailored to each scene's requirements, ensuring a seamless integration of virtual elements with live-action footage.
The LED displays utilized HyperPixel 2.6mm LED technology, powered by Brompton SX40 and XD processors, to deliver exceptional image quality and performance. To achieve optimal results, APG calibrated the video walls to the cameras, ensuring precise alignment and seamless integration with the production workflow.
